Inspired by Jeanne d’Arc’s armour, the femininity, power and divinity about her. ‘The functional aspect of a harness is to protect your body against impact during the war but a harness is also obstructing movement. I started to study human vulnerability and resilience and how little us humans are without the protection of clothing. I got my inspiration as well from the way we currently protect ourselves from an invisible fear and danger’.
